When the internet first launched in schools, Dr. Camacho founded the Miami Lakes Computer Club and coached her elementary students to 10 consecutive first-place wins in web design competitions — a remarkable streak that demonstrated what young learners could achieve when given the right tools, mentorship, and creative freedom.

The 1:1 Revolution

Dr. Janette Camacho helped lead one of the earliest large-scale iPad deployments in K-12 education, guiding schools through a transformative moment in digital learning. At a time when many educators were still navigating what meaningful classroom technology integration could look like, she focused not only on implementation, but also on supporting teachers through the change. She later published The Tech-Savvy Educator’s Guide, offering practical insight on how to scale technology adoption while keeping teacher confidence, instructional purpose, and student learning at the center.

Pandemic Pivot

Following the disruption of the pandemic, Dr. Camacho moved to Palm Beach, Florida, and began a new chapter that would redefine her career. Building on decades of classroom and leadership experience, she turned her attention to the emerging possibilities of artificial intelligence in education. During this period, she began creating the foundation for what would become iTeachAI, developing AI-powered tools designed specifically to meet the real needs of educators, schools, and learners.

Samsung Education Partnership

In 2023, Dr. Camacho expanded her national presence through a partnership with Samsung Education, presenting at major conferences including ISTE and IETC. That same year, she published Unlocking the Power of OpenAI: A Teacher’s Guide, one of the earliest books written specifically to help educators understand and apply AI in their professional practice. The book positioned her as an early and influential voice in the conversation around artificial intelligence and education.

iTeachAI Launches

The launch of iTeachAI marked a major milestone in Dr. Camacho’s career. She introduced AI tools for educators at leading national events including FETC, ISTELive, and NASA, bringing practical, classroom-focused innovation directly to the education community. She also delivered the opening keynote at Wisconsin’s SLATE Conference and co-presented with Matt Miller. In the same year, she published Education Before AI, further strengthening her role as a thought leader advocating for an education-first approach to emerging technology.

Portfolio Grows

By 2025, the iTeachAI ecosystem had expanded significantly. Dr. Camacho returned to FETC as a presenter and delivered the keynote at SLATE, reflecting her growing influence in the field. She launched Social Diva Express, Teachers AIDE, and iTeach Academy, which features 21 courses designed to help educators build confidence and skill in AI-enhanced teaching and leadership. She also developed an AI tools directory that serves thousands of educators, creating a broader platform for access, training, and professional growth.

Today

Today, Dr. Camacho continues to lead at the forefront of innovation in education. She presented at FETC 2026 on AI ethics and creative projects, contributing to important conversations about responsible and imaginative uses of artificial intelligence in schools. She also began focusing on new ways to promote teacher growth through the launch of iTeach Academy, AI News for All Educators, and iTeach Tutor, giving teachers the power to earn additional income by tutoring. The iTeachAI portfolio continues to grow, with every product personally designed, coded, and deployed by Dr. Camacho herself.
